Hey, you probably hated this girl in the first book of Percy Jackson. Well, her character got me in the second book. I wasn’t that much irritated to her than I was to Percy. Anyway, she was a great help in retrieving the golden fleece at Polyphemus’s island—along with Annabeth, Percy, Tyson & Grover.
She was a bully kid. I didn’t like her at the first book but I was really entertained. The way she made fun of Percy—and vice versa. Well, every story needs an antagonist. But Clarisse wasn’t that bad. She was just a daughter of Ares. maybe that’s the reason why she acts like that because she was a daughter of the war god.
Here’s her description in the first book:
The loudest was a girl maybe thirteen or fourteen. She wore a size XXXL CAMP HALF-BLOOD T-shirt under a camouflage jacket. She zeroed in on me and gave me an evil sneer. She reminded me of Nancy Bobofit, though the camper girl was much bigger and tougher looking, and her hair was long and stringy, and brown instead of red.
Hey, don’t miss her in the fourth book! I’ll be keeping in touch with her and Chris’s love story, ha ha. So Clarisse had a soft spot, too—the mad Chris Rodriguez whom she saw and saved from the Labyrinth. Anyway, they make a good couple: a bully and an insane, ha ha.
